Faculty of Pharmacy Awarded Prestigious KSTA - Prof. U. R. Rao Research Innovation Award


Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Pharmacy PG Research Work Entitled EXPLORING THE THERAPEUTIC POTENTIAL OF DUNALIELLA SALINA FORMULATION AGAINST CARDIOVASCULAR COMPLICATIONS USING MURINE AND ZEBRAFISH MODEL” by Research Scholar Mr. Sameerana Hammigi R, from Department of Pharmacology has been awarded with Prestigious Padma Vibhushan Prof. Udupi Ramachandra Rao Research Innovation Award among numerous innovative research proposals submitted across the state under the category of Research with Innovation/​Discovery by PG Students. The shortlisting and announcement of the winners was based on novelty, originality, impact, scope for disseminating knowledge, implementation of research results, presentation skills, time management, and Q&A assessed by the Scientific Committee Experts of Karnataka Science and Technology Academy.

Award was bestowed by Dr. H S Nagaraj, Chief Advisor, Prayoga Institute of Education Research, Dr. V. P. Shiva Prasad, Associate Dean, National Centre for Biological Sciences and Dr. C. R. Girija, Professor(Rtd), Government Arts and Science College on 28-Feb-2024, on the occasion of National Science Day Celebration by Karnataka Science and Technology Academy, Department of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka. The project was supervised by Dr. Jayaraman Anbu, Professor & Head, Department of Pharmacology, and Co-Supervised by Mr. Damodar Nayak A, Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Dr. Parasuraman Pavadai, Assistant Professor, from Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
