Mr. Damodar Nayak A contributed as a Resource Person for the Two Days Hands on Workshop on ​“3R’s Principle in Laboratory Animal Science” on 11^th & 12^th of Aug 2023 organized by Faculty of Pharmacy, ACS Medical College Campus, Dr. M.G.R Educational and Research Institute – Deemed to be University (NAAC A+), Velappanchavadi, Chennai. A total of 32 delegates comprising of UG, PG, Ph.D Research Scholars and Faculty members were part of the workshop.

Workshop covered various topics such as Introduction to 3R’s Principles in Animal Experimentation, CCSEA, OECD Guidelines, Form B, Biology and Behavior of Laboratory Animals, Designing of Experiment, Sample size calculation, Ethical considerations in animal handling, Zebra fish as an alternative to animal model. Hands on training was provided for Laboratory animal handling, Sexing, Restraining, Routes of Drug Administration, Anesthesia & Euthanasia, Routes of Blood Collection, Necropsy and Organ collection for histopathology.
